Cissy the Schnauzer must have really missed her mom. Owner Nancy Franck was in the hospital after undergoing surgery for ovarian cancer when Franck’s husband, Dale discovered that one of their two Schnauzers had gone missing. Later that afternoon, he got a call from the hospital that gave everyone a big surprise.
The pup walked about 20 blocks to a hospital she’d never been to before, all in search of her sick mother.
It makes you wonder whether or not it was a crazy coincidence that the dog ended up at the hospital where Franck was recovering.
But she charged in with such determination that it’s hard to deny that the pup had a very clear purpose.
Franck couldn’t believe that her little dog came all that way to see her.
But it was exactly what the recovering woman needed. Look at that face!

While Cissy hasn’t been to the hospital, she’s tagged along in the car on trips to the nearby cancer center. How she knew exactly where her mom mom was is still a bit of a mystery, though. It just goes to show how strong a bond between a pet and their human can be, especially in times of turmoil. Needless to say, Cissy brought a smile to Franck’s face at a time when she needed it the most.
