There are more beautiful cities around the world than you will likely see in a lifetime. People come from all around the world to experience the beauty and charm of blooming metropolises. They may have a reputation for nightlife, sightseeing, or music and entertainment. Attractions unique to a specific city are part of makes them so great, and are why people are so eager to travel. However, in my opinion, the coolest cities are the ones right on the edge — the edge of a cliff, that is.
These cities rest (or balance) ever so carefully on cliffs and hills. Many of these cities are quite old (some ancient). It’s incredible that they stood for as long as they have in their precarious positions. Their locations may look a little dangerous, but these cities are absolutely stunning. Who wouldn’t want to live on a cliff when you get views like these?
.) Civita Di Bagnoregio, Italy
.) Al Hajarah, Yemen
.) Riomaggiore, Italy
.) Pitigliano, Italy
.) Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria
.) Santorini, Greece
.) Meteora, Greece
.) Wadi Dawan, Yemen
.) Comares, Spain
.) Castellfollit De La Roca, Spain
.) Ronda, Spain
.) Azenhas Do Mar, Sintra, Portugal
.) Pitigliano, Grosseto, Italy
.) Manarola, La Spezia, Italy

I could definitely see myself living in a city like these someday. It’s definitely a dream of mine to live in a remote location with beautiful surroundings. I would, however, prefer not to live right on the edge of the cliff. Sure, I like cities, but they’re not worth that much of a risk.
