This Woman Slept In The Same Bed As Her Mother"s Corpse For 5 Whole Years

It’s one thing to love your mother. Yet, when a person takes that love to weird, unhealthy levels, things start to go downhill. Sadly, that’s exactly what this woman in Germany did.

According to police in Munich’s Blumenau district, a local woman spent 5 years sleeping next to the body of her mother, who had died in their shared apartment back in 2009.

Social workers came to check on the mother because neighbors reported her as MIA for a while.

When the social workers arrived at the mother’s apartment, the daughter refused to let them in.

That’s when police responded and forced the door open. Inside, they found the mother’s now-mummified corpse lying in the bed that the two shared.

Confronted by the police, the daughter admitted that her mother died in 2009. She slept in the same bed as the body every night for the last five years.

An autopsy of the mother’s body found no signs of foul play, and the daughter was taken away for a psychiatric evaluation.
